To go back in again about movements?

QuestionQuestionTime · 26/01/2021 17:08

Sorry I know this is AIBU.

I was at the hospital at the weekend for monitoring due to what I felt was reduced movements. All was fine when I was there and I had a scan the next day (Sunday) which again showed all fine. Baby movements were back to normal by the scan.

However, I'm lay here today and I just feel the same way again.

Should I go back again despite all being fine just a day ago?

I'm 39 weeks. I feel like I'm wasting their time.

Placeholdering, love a live labour thread! 6.01

Lostinspace23 · 26/01/2021 21:50

This sounds so similar to my labour almost three years ago....worried about movement at 38+5 so walked into the hospital (1.5 miles in a blizzard- couldn’t get the car out). Turned out I was in early labour (had no idea) so had a sweep and it all escalated from there, had a perfect birth natural birth at 4.24am. Fingers crossed your experience is similar - I’m guessing same sort of time!

PostladyPat · 26/01/2021 21:52

If things slow down a breast pump has always worked in my (many) labours!

FilthyforFirth · 26/01/2021 22:02

I know the thread has moved on (good luck!) But I went in fot reduced movements the night before my scheduled section back in November! I felt silly doing it but he really wasnt moving much and I kept thinking the worst. Left it until I couldnt anymore and went in sround 1030. I was bloody back at 630 for the section! He was fine, just being awkard the night before eviction.

Hope things progress nice and safely. Good luck!

I hope everything is okay.

So sad to see another expectant mum asking if they should go and get their baby checked. Worrying about wasting midwives time. This is your baby. This is about you and the baby not at all about the midwife.

Midwives should start a campaign to tell mums to always come in. Not wasting time. Babies have died because of mums not wanting to waste a strangers time.

Midwives who made me and other mums feel like I and them were wasting time should have a word with themselves and change careers.

Just seen so many threads where a mum has worried about wasting time and not all ended well Sad.
