‘Baby’ versus ‘the baby’

Does this give anyone else an irrational rage?

I am recently pregnant and I keep hearing......

‘When baby comes’
‘Best for baby’
‘I bet you can’t wait for baby’
‘Is baby a boy or a girl’

I miss the definite article.

Man folks on this thread would hate me - I called DD Baby before we knew the sex (subsequently we called her by her name), didn't mind being called "Mum" in NICU (seriously like the poor nurses are going to remember all the parents' names as well!) and say "I'm changing DD's bum" (or sometimes, brace yourselves, "doing her botbot"). I didn't use "bump", nor refer to her as various fruits, but I've known people who did and you know what? Cool.

I know most of these posts are light-hearted though and there's plenty of things that o get irrationality angry about (one of them is "gives me the rage Grin " so I get it.

@ServeTheServants

Yes, this is one of my pet hates; glad to see I am not alone! It’s up there with “boobing” etc.
Boobing is probably the worst ever! UGH. I remember on social media a girl was obsessed by breastfeeding and would talk about how her son just loves boobing and she'd been boobing for so long she brought herself some special boobing milestone necklace.....Confused

And OP yes "baby" in that context gives me the rage too!
