We had a parent years ago tried to pull this shite, mainly to explain why his dearest child didn’t have to do work, follow school rules, homework, uniform. Apparently there was a meeting with our quite volatile head where he explained if he didn’t he was welcome to withdraw him, if he wrote a letter etc which he refused because, names etc. (Plus he couldn’t be arsed to do the work involved) Long suffering mum eventually left him along with dc.
