It is the type of thing I would ignore.

Goawayquickly · 21/01/2021 11:27

Scam.

ApolloandDaphne · 21/01/2021 11:27

My DH has had several messages like that. It is a scam.

PricklesAndSpikes · 21/01/2021 11:30

Lockheart · 21/01/2021 11:31

Obvious scam.

Aalvarino · 21/01/2021 11:32

Yes definitely a scam. Look at the hyperlink. It practically announces itself as such.

Aalvarino · 21/01/2021 11:33

I dont mean click the hyperlink by the way.

RaspberryCoulis · 21/01/2021 11:33

Of course it's a scam.

Piffle11 · 21/01/2021 11:34

Yes it’s a scam. I had one for DPD the other week.

Emmelina · 21/01/2021 11:35

The link is generally enough to tell you it’s dodgy, but the wording is also suspect - confirm the settlement of - what? Why would Royal Mail be confirming it’s GBP? Of course it is - we’re in Britain!
There are loads going about at the moment. Never click a link in a random text.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 21/01/2021 11:37

Yep scam. I'd expect any genuine text to come from an alpha tag, not a random mobile number.

NooneElseIsSingingMySong · 21/01/2021 11:39

If Royal Mail need financial settlement it’s usually customs - DH had it where he sent off for a “free” watch and he had to pay for customs but it was a card he had to attach stamps to in order to cover the costs, then take it to the Post Office. They would never text. How would they even get your phone number? Delete the message and ignore.

iklboo · 21/01/2021 11:41

I googled the number

Scam?
SkySmiler · 21/01/2021 11:52

As I thought, thanks all
