and not care who is the fav soap actress and actor. They get paid don't they and when do you see bin person awards for all those lovely people who take your smelly rubbish away, or nurses awards for all thoses lovely people who take care of the sick - now that I do care about........

I like watching TV awards, after all i watch the soaps so its nice to see the good actors get rewarded for their work, i guess if you dont like them then you have the choice not to watch them
I do agree that there should be awards for nurses or bin people, but they are not in the media so it would never be telivised, i guess its just a media thing.

LuckyPants - I don't watch the program, even if it is advertised to death for three weeks previous. But I would much rather they showed a film; even a crappy film would be better so that I dont have to turn the tv of if I don't want to.

The tv awards are just so boring seeing people sat round tables then go on to a stage and say thank you then sit down again. I would rather watch paint dry

well they must get the ratings otherwise they wouldnt bother to put it on, so plenty people must like it, but there is always going to be some who dont. different strokes for different folks. Of course YANBU to not give a jot about the awards, but i also ANBU because i happen to like them
