To think how the hell do lone parents study vocational courses with school age dcs?

Two DC's in primary school. Looking to complete my course next year. Full on year of placements 9-5 Monday to Friday, could be anywhere in the SW! I have no idea how I'm going to do it.
Currently I work full time but can make up hours elsewhere to do school pick ups three days a week.
Dd is starting school this September and from experience I know that means weeks of half days or shorter!
I have family who help out but none who can do five pick ups and drop offs a week!
Thinking of nanny but that will be ver expensive. Au Pair? Scared it's asking a bit too much of a Spanish teenager to pick up and drop off everyday. Especially in the first term when I imagine all the parent mingling will go on.
Genuinely trying to improve things for my DC's but have no idea how I will manage this with my sanity in tact.
Their father is not helpful either. Offering one drop off and pick up a week.
