To be thrilled that it’s raining heavily so that I don’t need to go for another sodding walk?

I add the proviso that I don’t have young children and therefore won’t be missing the caged animal need to escape outdoors as I did when dc were little. I do have two neuro diverse teens but they are pretty independent.

I’m going to do some work and then lounge beatifically on the sofa later this afternoon and try and find something fun to watch on Netflix. I might have some chocolate (if teen dd hasn’t finished it [Hmm). No sodding walking - guilt free.

So YANBU to be glad for one day to not walk guilt-free

Or YABU because

So happy to still see umbrellas outside. Hoping it continues so I can cancel our daily post-work walk

Just come back from our walk!

Not too bad rain wise...but very windy in certain areas

Yabvvu not to go for a walk.
To my mind, not going for a walk is tantamount to feeding less than 20 people with a single chicken breast or failing to report someone seen in tesco for the second time in a month.
It is grim.
You are vile.
I despair.

It's lower class too. Yeah!

If it was just me I’d probably still get out because I love a good stomp. However I fucking hate walking with toddlers/ young children. I hate the time it takes to get everyone ready and the moaning about hats/gloves/coats. I hate plodding along at toddler speed and having to stop every 5 seconds to inspect a stick or to turn and watch someone until they’re out of sight. I hate having to grab them and manoeuvre them around dog poo every 2 metres. I hate the tantrums about crossing the road safely. It’s just shit and I’m sick to death of it.

We’ve done PE with joe AND yoga today so no guilt. Or at least not until dp comments that I haven’t taken them out again...

I'm glad to see sense has prevailed at the outcome of this thread Smile

All the naysayers will be glad to know I am going on a walk today (with one of my closest friends so it will be fun) but officially I still hate walks.
