You know the ones...very classic pattern, usually in muted shades...usually woolen. Help!

Shetland, Fairisle?

WalkersAreNotTheOnlyCrisps · 19/01/2021 11:10

I first thought Pringle.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 19/01/2021 11:12

Fair Isle.

Guernseys are a single colour, usually navy but sometimes a rust red or pale blue. Heavy wool, ‘waterproof’ and worn by sailors.

Bretons are striped.

Argyle are usually plain with a simple pattern on the front, often in pastel colours (think golfers).

Ugly?

SlopesOff · 19/01/2021 11:31

Just to clarify my comment 'Ugly' in case people don't realise, ugly jumpers do exist.

FortunesFave · 19/01/2021 12:10

Fair Isle! Thank you!

They are not ugly! Huh! The cheek! They're gorgeous!

Yes they are gorgeous. As are all the other types mentioned. Some people have no taste, though...

They do but they are usually in horrible man made fibres which bobbles.
