Today I made and delivered a roast dinner to DBro who is isolating (left in the porch for the covid police)

Later I received a lovely message thanking me for said meal with a - "but wtf happened to your stuffing?"

Nothing happened to my stuffing, it transpires that my stuffing not being ball shaped was a source of great displeasure!!

YABU - stuffing should always be ball shaped.

YANBU - Who can be bothered with that faff, cook it in a dish and spoon it out.

Stuffing should be crisp and crunchy. Can't stand the sloppy stuff.

When growing up my mum stuffed both ends of the Turkeywe never got food poisoning She made it from scratch and my job was to make the breadcrumbs. It was the food of the gods. You could actually slice it. I used to sneak into the pantry and cut myself a slice. It did also have the unfortunate effect of making you a bit on the windy sideBlush She also used to do stuffed steak using her stuffing like a extra large stuffed beef olive. Delicious.

Extract of Fawlty Towers, may be relevant...

Master Heath : They're the wrong SHAPE.

Basil Fawlty : Oh, dear... What shape do you usually have? Mickey Mouse shape? Smarties shape? Amphibious landing-craft shape? Poke-in-the-eye shape?

This is a good old cock and balls story.

Balls all the way here, greater surface area for crunch!
