What do you think? I’ve bee told by a teacher friend that primary aged children will be at school after February half term? I do hope so I feel so sorry for my children I just can’t give them what they need and feel like I am failing them
They are so sad and missing friends and routine

I don't think schools will be open before September, at the earliest.

I'm not sure whether the half-arsed, none of the fun but all of the work Covid version of being in school school (no clubs, trips, plays or other enrichment, loads of additional rules and restrictions) is worth the risk of the new case numbers flying up again in February. After Easter, maybe, but only if school can be operated in a relatively "normal" way with all the fun stuff allowed.

I hope.they are back asap but cant see what's going to change? If there is no risk to under 50s and everything will open soon anyway let's open now and shield the over.

What is the plan once the over 60s are vaccinated? Open everything up? Or close until December or next year until we all are then play catch up with the 16 year olds?
