In a hopefully not too distant future, when all this Covid stuff has “blown over” and it’s safe for us to be relatively free to live our lives again...

What will your first day of absolute freedom look like?!
I’d drive to Scotland to see my family for the first time since last March. We would go clothes shopping as is our usual favourite thing to do. We’d have a lovely pub lunch, macaroni and chips for me 🤤 also boozy depending which month as I’m currently 4 months pregnant 😂 Then in the evening we would chill on the sofa, some random quiz show/stand up comedy on for background noise while we chatted away, laughed and had a good old drink and catch up.

I can’t wait 😂👏🏻

Def be going the pub before seeing my family 😂😂. Talking to randoms

FippertyGibbett · 13/01/2021 17:56

I’ll be booking a holiday in the sun 🛫

ShinyMe · 13/01/2021 18:01

I'd like to say I'd fo and see people and go out for a meal and go to the theatre and all that, but also the crowds are going to be rubbish when these things open again so honestly, I'll probably have a lie in, sit in my pyjamas and then get a takeaway.

LST · 13/01/2021 18:08

Getting back in my old motorhome and driving to the middle of nowhere. Just me dp, the dc and the dog.

AppleKatie · 13/01/2021 18:10

Theatre

Hugging family

Holiday abroad

PolytheneHam · 13/01/2021 18:11

A proper night out with my friends. I had a miserable pregnancy in 2019 (DS born Jan 2020),so my last night out was for my birthday in March 2019.

TheCanyon · 13/01/2021 18:12

The reality will be that it'll probably still consist of being at home in my jammies or actually entering the playground to drop the dc off.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 13/01/2021 18:12

Spend some actual time with family. We have the childcare bubble, but its all drop off, hi, handover, bye. I want to sit down and have a cuppa tea, not a 5 min, "here's your grandson"

Thesagacontinues · 13/01/2021 18:13

Ill be going away for a break, a proper break with no work, housework, cooking, shopping.

I've had a tough few years (even prior to covid) and If I think back to the last time I was really really happy, it was on a 4 day trip to Rome. Catching the metro, walking the city, seeing all the famous places, eating pasta and pizza outside the Colosseum and the Vatican. I want to be there (or similar) again.

SharedLife · 13/01/2021 18:13

Cinema and meal out with dh and ds1, next day, massive Sunday roast with all the grandparents and our siblings. Oof, makes me emotional

devildeepbluesea · 13/01/2021 18:16

A big pub catch up with extended family, back to DF's for Chinese takeaway.

Next day would be a trip to west Wales where I used to live, another big pub catch up 😂 then back to someone's for a PAAARTAY!!

whatthehelldowecare · 13/01/2021 18:17

Hugging everyone and anyone that wants a hug, booking a flight to somewhere tropical and going for a boozy lunch out with the family and have them all back to ours for a get together (and more hugs!)

DuzzyFuck · 13/01/2021 18:17

My dream day? I'd do a bit of shopping then to the cinema for an afternoon film with DP. Then we'll go for dinner and cocktails, hopefully with our best friends.

Not too many drinks though, as on day 2 we'd be up early to fly off and see our families.

Cam2020 · 13/01/2021 18:17

I'd love to see my besties for drinks and dinner, theatre trip with my mum, go on a proper shopping and get some new, non WFH clothes. I'd even be happy just to go to the office and chat to colleagues, go for coffees and lunch.

I’d do absolutely anything to be able to hug my mum, she gives the best hugs and I miss them so much!!

Really want a weekend in a cabin, just me and my partner. Anywhere that isn’t this bloody house we’ve been stuck in everyday for the best part of a year 😂

I'll be on the first plane to go and see my parents abroad - I haven't seen them in 16 months.

TheSilly · 13/01/2021 18:22

Drive straight to the airport, fly to hot exotic beach resort.

Book into the fanciest hotel possible.

A fortnight of beach, swimming, hot tubs, awesome food and adventuring.

Tana433 · 13/01/2021 18:44

Go to a concert. Cant wait to be amongst crowds enjoying live music again. I get quite teary when i watch old youtube videos of live performances.

LegendDairy · 13/01/2021 18:48

Any gig or festival in a crowd of many thousand people dancing to amplified music.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 13/01/2021 18:50

Argue with my husband about who goes out that night and who stays home with the kids.

Book a holiday

go to central London and have lunch with my aunt in the John Lewis cafe, and then Assuming I won the argument with my DH, meet my friends for dinner and drinks

Dee1975 · 13/01/2021 18:53

Getting on a flight to somewhere hot!

Illy605 · 13/01/2021 20:18

Oh, that first gig post Covid will be so good! Can’t wait for the overpriced beer and other people sweating on me again 😂😂😂
