That transcript of Trump’s rally speech. I’m surprised it didn’t put the crowd into a coma trying to follow and make sense of what he was rambling! It hurt my head reading it.

Speaking of vaccine rollouts, I just got an email from my GP practice. They are ready to give vaccines, but because they have no idea how many will arrive from the federal government they have to just take each week as it comes.

C. Parler Repeatedly Violates the Agreement.

In mid-November 2020, AWS received reports that Parler was hosting content threatening violence, in breach of the agreement. Executive 2 Decl.

On November 17, 2020, seeking to better understand Parler’s approach to content moderation, AWS provided Parler two representative examples, asked whether “this type of content ... violate[s] [Parler’s] policies,” and asked for “more detailed information on [Parler’s] policies and processes for handling and mitigating” such content. Id. & Ex. D. Two days later, Parler responded that it had referred one of the examples to its “regular contact for investigation.” Id. Ex. D.

Over the next seven weeks, AWS reported more than 100 additional representative pieces of content advocating violence to Parler’s Chief Policy Officer, including:

“Fry’em up. The whole fkn crew. #pelosi #aoc #thesquad #soros #gates #chuckschumer #hrc #obama #adamschiff #blm #antifa we are coming for you and you will know it.”

“#JackDorsey ... you will die a bloody death alongside Mark Suckerturd [Zuckerberg].... It has been decided and plans are being put in place. Remember the photographs inside your home while you slept? Yes, that close. You will die a sudden death!”

“We are going to fight in a civil War on Jan.20th, Form MILITIAS now and acquire targets.”

“On January 20th we need to start systematicly [sic] assassinating [sic] #liberal leaders, liberal activists, #blm leaders and supporters, members of the #nba #nfl #mlb #nhl #mainstreammedia anchors and correspondents and #antifa. I already have a news worthy event planned.”

“Shoot the police that protect these shitbag senators right in the head then make the senator grovel a bit before capping they ass.”

“After the firing squads are done with the politicians the teachers are next.”

This is a big thing with GOP. Marco Rubio doesn't seem capable of composing a coherent tweet, so just produces a selection of Bible verses

One thing Bannon believes —as do I—is that a number of Senate GOP want to seize this moment to disqualify Trump from ever running again and be done with him. And hope to make Schumer/Democrats the face of conviction while they quietly abet it. (One way: not showing up for a vote)

This answers a question I've been pondering.

My knowledge of impeachment procedure isn't good. I did wonder if the 2/3 referred to 2/3 of all Senate Seats or merely votes cast. And if it were the latter whether its significant.

Yesterday 4 Republicans didn't vote.

I and wonder if how McConnell has worded things in his statement was alluding to abstaining rather than possibly voting for impeachment.

It would be a lot easier to abstain and deny responsibility for Trump's impeachment than to actively vote for it.

I think if Trump is impeached, its much more likely this way than 'the 17 good men and women' approach. And even then it is politically risky.

Its interesting to see others speculating about it as a possibility. I think its the thing to watch for tbh.

Banon teaming up with Trump is really unsurprisingly. And it certainly would explain more than a few things (including the dumping of Giuliani).

Ah, but that's the point of Trump speeches. You're not supposed to make sense of it.

A case of: "Don't listen to the words, listen to the music and belieeeeeeve in me."

With a few soundbites for attendees to recall afterwards – many of which are mutually contradictory, but that's OK, there's something for everyone...

Some of his advisers have encouraged him to think about continuing the tradition. Early in his presidency, Trump liked to show off to visitors the letter he received from President Barack Obama, which included the now-prescient line: "Regardless of the push and pull of daily politics, it's up to us to leave those instruments of our democracy at least as strong as we found them."

I love that line by Obama, all class that man.
