Even ahead of the election, Trump was the first President to refuse to commit to a peaceful transition of power (the only possible implication being the threat of violence if he lost). He repeated this refusal again and again, giving a clear signal to his supporters.

He knew exactly what he was doing on, and in the build up to, January 6th. Anyone who doesnt acknowledge that the President has long encouraged violence if he lost is being dishonest.

A Demcratic member of Congress says she saw Republicans leading constituents round the Capitol on "reconnaissance" missions on Jan 5th. She hasn't named names nor said how she knew what they were doing, though.

Is it? I thought she wasn't elected to Congress until last December. Maybe she was just on a tour with several people who are now known to have taken part in the violent attempted coup on 6th January; that association still doesn't speak very well of her.

Do you have a link to the Instagram page where she posted the picture so I can have a look at what she said there, rather than having to rely on someone else reposting the picture? I can't find it with a search on "Lauren Broebart instagram", which has only 6 posts as far as I can see, none of them including that picture.
