NC as this is possibly outing.

My daughter has complex SEND and attends a specialist school. She has been going into school for the last week. She gets transport everyday to and from school and we send a communication book so her teacher and I can discuss how everything is going as I don't pick her up from school. On her first day back after the christmas break I sent in a £20 donation that I completely forgot to do just before christmas. Usually, there's a christmas fair for you to buy christmas cards and decorations that are made by the children and the money goes to the school. Obviously, that was cancelled this year due to Covid so decorations were sent home and and I forgot to send the money in.

I decided to write in her communication book that I was really sorry that I forgot to send in a donation and put £20 in the book and put in in her bag. This is the way I have always sent in money and there has never been an issue before.

Anyway, there were some issues with her transport on the first day so my DP drove her to school amd waited until one of the staff took her in.

The money and communication book have since gone missing and the office haven't received any money. I completely understand how hard all the teachers have been working and know that things can be put to one side and forgotten about but it does seem a bit odd to me, especially since her teacher has told me that she never saw the money in the first place.

I know it's only £20 but would I BU to chase it up or should I just leave it? I

Someone has taken the £20 so I would not let it go.
