I’ve been at my school about 10 years, happy there, love my colleagues, know most families very well; live in the community etc so no commute etc.
However, my ‘dream teaching job’ has come up in another school, the school is very different to the one I’m currently in but I could see myself working there... I think! It would a zoom interview so I wouldn’t get to see the school.
Is it mad to apply for a job in a different school whilst this pandemic is going on when I am happy where I am?
And then if I don’t get it will it go against me that my current school will know I’m looking elsewhere?
Would it be really hard starting work in a new school? I’ve only ever really taught where I am?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
