Aibu to say companies struggling with the new paperwork involved sending goods across the Irish sea should send all the forms to Boris Johnson , as he suggested they do before Christmas?

Yanbu = Yes they should send BJ the paperwork.
Yabu = No they should not send him the paperwork, as everyone knows he lies constantly.

Pretty stupid poll, both yabYABU and YANBU are meant to ram home your political point

Livelovebehappy · 10/01/2021 11:42

Or maybe companies should prepare better, and have their paperwork sorted? Many others have managed it.

Which companies have managed it?
Kendodd · 10/01/2021 12:00

I think my poll is pretty reasonable actually. Here he is saying there will be no forms, no paperwork, if anyone is asked to fill in a form direct them to me (BJ) so either we take him at his word and do as he asks, or he is just a proven and known liar and we should not trust his word.

I wonder if any companies have actually sent him the paperwork as he directed them to do?

Daft poll. Neither option represents what I'd want to say. Both show an anti government stance and neither is a reasonable or measured option.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 10/01/2021 12:08

Companies should have been “better prepared” - how was that possible with only 6 hours notice?

I've even found a freepost address they can send the password to.

@Kendodd - I think you need to start tweeting that address and the fact he wants the paperwork sent to him. Maybe tag some of the trade and freight organisations and companies that are having issues. I believe Sainsbury are stocking Spar products as they can't get their normal supplies. Not sure about the others.

Buddytheelf85 · 10/01/2021 13:51

YANBU, of course they should send him the paperwork. He invited them to.

Griselda1 · 10/01/2021 14:06

I know a firm who've had to hire in outside help to complete the paperwork to send livestock a few miles across the border. Animal welfare issues make it outrageous that the alternative would be keeping animals in a lorry in freezing conditions at a checkpoint.

How can companies prepare when nobody knew whether there was going to be a deal until Christmas Eve?

Not another goady thread about Brexit. Go and find a hobby to do OP.
