@bloodywhitecat
From your previous posts I know what is going on for you right now so I have to say in comparison I have to score myself a 10.
Life will get better, it has to.

  1. I feel hopeless and restless. No work due to the nature of my career (that I spent years, money and energy to accomplish). No meeting others. No going out. I chose 3 because I have a loving, supportive family. I’m in my mid 20s and I feel like these restrictions will never end. Where is the hope?
JaceLancs · 09/01/2021 22:11

I’m a 5 today
By the end of Monday I could be a 1 or a 5 depending on how stressful it is
I’ve not gone above 5 since November lock down

A good 8 or 9 - even in the middle of the pandemic. Very lucky but am a glass half full type of a person.

You could ring the domestic abuse helpline and ask for advice - 0808 2000 247. Please do, you deserve help and there is help available.

thanks Evie..I know but they'll remove me not him.... because it's his house...
but it's my home too and my pets and I won't leave them. Also there's no refuge near and I have to get to work... I know I'm stubborn but I'm staying put until he goes (the house is his as I say...but it has go on market this year)

Are we talking generally or just today/this minute? Being menopausal I can vary between 1 and 10 in a day.

I would say today I'm a 6 but my bar is set pretty low given the current world circumstances.

I’m in a good relationship, I have no short or medium term money worries and I am very fortunate to be able to hide from the pandemic by WFH. When I’m not furloughed, that is....

My main worry is whether I will still have a job when this nightmare is over. Our industry is completely fucked, and if I am made redundant I have no idea how I would find another job. What I do is fairly niche, and I have absolutely no idea how to do anything else.

Fairyliz · 09/01/2021 22:36

Thinking about trying to break into a Covid ward in the hope that I might catch it and die.

whatkatydid2013 · 09/01/2021 22:44

9 I think. We can wfh with flexible hours. My parents are our childcare bubble so are taking kids for 3 days a week and they are all loving spending time together. This week mostly building snowmen. It makes juggling homeschooling and work very feasible for us this time and allows us to keep most of the weekend as family time. I’m so grateful it’s an option. Worst we can complain of is we are bored as we won’t be seeing anyone or going anywhere aside from the odd walk so think we are about as lucky as anyone can get at the moment.

alliejay81 · 09/01/2021 22:47

@AhFiddledeedee

1 or 2, but unfortunately I'm rarely above a 5 in general. I am naturally the "half empty" type.

Jealous of all you 9 and 10s, especially given the current circumstances, in fact I'm amazed anyone is a 9 or 10 in the current circumstances Shock

I appreciate the honesty of your post. I'm a big optimist, but I also like other people and my normal life. I'm actually as worried about people who are 9 or 10 at the moment as those that are 1 or 2. Everyone's life could be much better right now. I'm worried for you if couldn't be. I want to see my mum and dad, my nephews (and my siblings Wink) and my friends.

I'm ok and within current circumstances I'm relatively content, so I'm 6 maybe a 7. I've probably been as low as a 4 in the pandemic though.
