Hi OP, if you're concerned you should call your dentists out of hours or emergency line (if they have one). If they don't have one, call 111. They deal with dental emergencies and can direct you if needed.

Please be very sceptical about any medical advice you receive from randomers on the internet.

Hey, I had a tooth out and white/yellow in the extraction site is normal healing white blood cells.

I also would call your GP just to be sure.

And if you've got worsening pain, swelling, increased bruising/redness, fever, or bad taste, call 111 and ask to be referred to an emergency dentist. If they won't refer you, go to your nearest A&E with a dental department.

I got an infection in the extraction site when I had my wisdom tooth out and 111 refused to refer me to the emergency dentist. Ended up in an ambulance with the beginning stages of sepsis and in hospital for a week. Very important to take it seriously!! GL!

If you are in pain, it could be dry socket. Dry socket is when the blood clot (that forms to protect and heal empty socket) is dislodged.

Your bone is exposed. It sounds like what I had and I was on antibiotics for 10 days, had to have it cleaned and packed and was also at the emergency dentists over Christmas!!!!
I would use warm salt water send just 'hold' it in area rather than swish it about....

get it seen to as it could be infected.

Dry socket is the worst pain I've ever experienced (and I've had two 10lb babies naturally 😂😂) so you would definitely know if it easy that!!!
