i'm not worried about anything i just wanted to know what peoples experiences were like there and what it lead them onto?

I think it can be a hugely beneficial thing to do and will help to build their skills and a network that will help them in their career.

Not everyone can be a mega star though so they need some realistic career ideas and back up plans.

That being said a good bass player is always in demand- there really aren't enough of them. And good players can make decent money as session musicians even if they never hit the big time.

I know open days are tricky at the moment but get him to attend online events and find out more about his options.
