To be annoyed at partner for lack of interest in sex when trying for baby

Hey there. So basically me and my partner have been trying for a baby for over a year now. I have pcos and do not ovulate very often. This month however I have actually had all the signs that I am about to ovulate and have told my partner that we need to make the most of this opportunity! However, my partner doesn't seem to understand this and feels like I am just using him, which isn't the case at all - I just really want us to have a baby and know that this is a key time for us to try that might not come around again for a few months. I know he wants a baby as he said he will pay for us to have IVF in the future if need be, but he doesn't seem to understand that when trying for a baby you are more likely to succeed when timing correctly. How do I go about this while respecting my partners wishes and desires too?

Have you ezplained to him how few fertile days a month women have? On a calendar and talking him through it.

You need to explain that trying for a baby isn't that romantic, and you have to have sex when timing is right

I was v concerned that my husband would feel used like this, so rather than focusing on having sex on fertile days we just did it most days. He was pretty happy with that, and we always got the timing right. If you're only having sex when ovulating, or mainly just then, then yes he will feel used.

Is he generally not interested in sex OP or is it just at your most recent request?

If it's only recently then I would suggest that going forward maybe just try initiating sex without going into the details of ovulation. It might make him feel less 'used' and might make the whole situation feel a bit less forced and a little more romantic. I know that can be a challenge though when you've been trying for a while.
