What's he's done is quite clever.

He's signalling that he "personally" concedes the election even if as "VP" he can't do so.

Essentially he's already distancing himself from Trump without saying anything he can be quoted on.

But he didn't and I followed up stating I stood corrected having looked at the picture and seeing it was him and his wife.

Fair point, I’d not thought of that. I know we’ve had horses stabbed, but you’ve got to get up close and personal (with what’s likely to be a bloody big imposing beast) to stab a horse, shooting on could be done at a distance and would probably cause more havoc when one was dropped. I sound callous on the part of the horse there, and don’t mean it that way.

Scary how dangerous one person can be. Even in a democracy.

It's not one person. It never has been.

Trump was selected by a bunch of far-right movers and shakers in the US as their most useful candidate – because he's an entertaining clown with no scruples – and they did all the work to get him up there. Putin also tried to help get him elected, because he too has found Trump useful.

Throughout his whole time in office, people around him have chosen to enable him... before they've been chewed up and spat out each in turn.

Now Trump has whipped up a personality cult – that bit he is good at – and instead of walking away, a disgracefully large number of senior elected Republicans have decided to go along with it in the hope of later netting the mob's votes.

Without these other people, Trump is nothing. Nothing.
