Cleaner not cleaning under the rim.

Just had a good look at our toilets and seen that all the way around the rims are revolting.
We have had the same cleaners for a long time.
AIBU to expect that they would do this as a matter of routine?

I clean my loo daily - I mean, I give it the once over with the loo brush etc. I still expect my cleaning to get in there too.

The rules specifically say cleaners can still work in your house.
If everyone stopped cleaners would lose their income.
I know on MN people think you should still pay but in reality most people won't. When stretched to our limits with wfh/home schooling etc adding more cleaning than usual to that list while still paying for it isn't appealing.

The OP is paying someone to do a job. That person is not doing their job properly. OP wants advice about how to approach it.

I used to clean for a woman was a man, but had sex change, who used to leave big turds in the toilet, then stand there talking to me while I was trying to get rid of it as if it was nothing, I stopped getting rid of them in the end and would leave them there so next time they had to clean them out themselves

Give your rim a quick wipe weekly and it will save the build up.

Can you get those little dentist mirrors online for use in a domestic setting? Wait until the cleaner is in the bathroom and then start 'examining' under the rim with it. Loudly say random things like "Turd occlusion at upper 16" and "Over-filling on lower 5" interspersed with sudden screams of "I want to see cavity, not depravity!!!"

Yes I have a cleaner buy I’d not ask anyone to do a job I wouldn’t do myself and there’s no way I’d clean someone else’s shitty toilet.
