To wonder what it would be like for people to rate you as a customer...

Just that really. A random thought. I'm always polite and nice to people coming into my home whether they're fixing something or taking a reading. Got me thinking about a time when a removals man was horrible to me so I left a bad online review. I wonder what it would be like if it were possible and legal for people to leave honest reviews about a customer...

Uber drivers can rate passengers.

ShalomToYouJackie · 05/01/2021 20:30

Like that Black Mirror episode where you can give everyone a rating! I might have to watch that again

MaMaD1990 · 05/01/2021 20:31

Really?? I suppose that's really useful to know for a taxi driver...

I remember thinking I'd love to rate an old landlord too - he was shocking! I wanted to warn everyone not to rent from him lol

Airbnb hosts can review people that have stayed ( and residents can review the hosts
Like tripadvisor in reverse !

Ohh, that would be a good thread: "What is your Uber rating?"

SachaStark · 05/01/2021 20:46

I’m nice as fuck when I’m a customer, as I remember how dreadful customer service was, so I reckon I’d get a good rating.

I don’t understand people who are automatically dicks to the people serving them.

A waitress said to me and DH recently, “You’re the most grateful customers ever!” Grin

MaMaD1990 · 05/01/2021 20:49

I know! I never understood why people were so horrible - I actually made a conscious effort to judge future dates on how they treated waiters/waitresses on a first date. It was quite telling!!

I grew up with a father who was hideously rude to waiters, or really anyone doing anything for him.

I am now almost never ever rude to people who are doing a job to help me. (I have a 5.00 uber rating Grin). But on the odd occasion, perhaps once every 10 years when someone is mean, unhelpful, obstructive and looks at me as though I am shit on their shoe, well I really let them have it because I'm 100% sure it's deserved.

Was just thinking of that!

I’ve worked in customer service for years and we’ve always said that we should be able to rate customers. We do have some regular customers who we recognise when they call (both good and bad). If someone is really abusive and likely to keep calling we do send a warning to the team to be aware

Most trades have a network where they give each other the heads up over pita's.

TryingnottobeWaynettaSlob · 05/01/2021 21:19

I’d love to rate the bloody rude customers who come into the shop where I work! Maybe if personal ratings could potentially affect THEIR job they would think twice before demanding to KNOW YOUR NAME and shouting at you just because you asked them to wear a bloody face mask for a few minutes 🙄 Of course I say it much more politely !

SosYourFace · 05/01/2021 21:20

And boyfriends.

MaMaD1990 · 05/01/2021 21:24

@SosYourFace - yes!!
