3 of my children's teachers have covid. Would you send them?

I don't want to, DH does
We are in T4 and anecdotally I have heard that its hitting people thick and fast. I haven't seen anyone since before Xmas except only one trip to the supermarket. I just don't want to get sick.

Yabu send them
Yanbu keep them back for the week and see what happens

If they have it, they’re not in school.

HmmSureJan · 04/01/2021 11:17

No I wouldn't.

Starry4120 · 04/01/2021 11:22

If the teachers have it they would have been in school since before Christmas I assume? So I wouldn’t immediately be concerned over the teachers having it, just generally concerned over the whole scenario. Mine have gone school but I can’t help be worried and I live in an area with lower cases than most of the U.K.

Summergarden · 04/01/2021 11:26

Have you tied looking up your schools postcode on this tracker to see the rates for the area?

You might find it reassuring (although the opposite may instead apply!) and it may help you to make an informed decision.

if the teachers have had it I assume it will have spread around more and continue to spread around so no

Plonque · 04/01/2021 11:28

Why wouldn't you? They won't be there and won't have been in school for two weeks.

bigbluebus · 04/01/2021 11:39

How long have they had it? Schools have been shut for 2 weeks! Chances are they picked it up from Christmas socialising not from school.

Look at Covid Messenger for your postcode. 'Anecdotally' is often a euphanism for made up rubbish.

grannyinapram · 04/01/2021 14:01

yes well I am worried that I know at least 4 people who have tested positive in the Christmas break and now 3 teachers on top

so presumably people round here have been mixing and I'm about to shove my children into the pot.

I will check the rates, thank you for that
