Sex
Cosmetic surgery, it rarely looks good.
Agree about high heels, I'm like Bambi on the ice.

insancerre · 03/01/2021 18:41

Cats

Stinkywizzleteets · 03/01/2021 18:41

Selfies.

mbosnz · 03/01/2021 18:42

Not being able to fathom 'different strokes for different folks', i.e that your way doesn't necessarily have to be the highway.

Bangable · 03/01/2021 18:42

And yes, babies. I just don’t get it , the way some women go to mush around them and get so much pleasure from holding one. I wish I felt that way, it must be lovely. I go for a coffee via the fire exit if a colleague on mat leave brings one in 😂

Sparklingbrook · 03/01/2021 18:42

Camping
Spa days /massage
Rugby/Cricket

This will be one of those list threads. 😂

dangerrabbit · 03/01/2021 18:43

Heterosexuality.

QforCucumber · 03/01/2021 18:44

Having relationships with parents. My dad left when I was around 14 and I'm pretty low contact with mum. I see these close families and people who need their mum when ill/giving birth and just can't comprehend it

NuniaBeeswax · 03/01/2021 18:44

Isn't this just the unpopular opinions thread under another guise?

WouldstrokeTomHardy · 03/01/2021 18:44

@Bangable. I agree but the way you just dropped that is hilarious 😂

Pyewhacket · 03/01/2021 18:44

Airports, passports and holidays abroad. I worked overseas in a number of locations when first married and that cured me of foreign travel. The very thought of it makes me shudder.

Badwill · 03/01/2021 18:46

Team sports - whether playing them or following.

Nespresso coffee. Tastes foul. My SIL bought us a machine for Xmas a couple of years ago so I have to wheel it out of the cupboard when she visits but it pains me to drink the dirty water it produces!

"Influencers"

Twitter. So pointless and inane.

Sparklingbrook · 03/01/2021 18:46

@NuniaBeeswax

Isn't this just the unpopular opinions thread under another guise?
Essentially yes. A list of things added to without reading anyone else’s posts. Slightly pointless but very MN. Grin
Purplecatshopaholic · 03/01/2021 18:47

Watching popular/cult tv programmes eg Game of Thrones, Star Trek, etc. Football. Having those little three-d letters/words up in your house like Live Laugh Love, etc - yack! Viewing snow in any kind of positive light...

Souvlaki · 03/01/2021 18:47

Card games.

Musicals.

Gel nails ( grim)

Carpets

Air freshener

Mintjulia · 03/01/2021 18:47

Tattoos,
lip plumpers
Smoking
Facebook
Skydiving

missmouse101 · 03/01/2021 18:48

Coffee, alcohol, cruises, package holidays, hen nights, girls' nights, false nails, tattoos, gyms, massive overspending for Christmas and birthdays.

KnitFastDieWarm · 03/01/2021 18:48

dogs in unnecessary coats (whippety types excepted)
avocados
sunbathing
having pets - i like other people’s pets, but i didn’t grow up with them and would feel weird having an animal in my house
organised ‘fun’ - so most party games, hen dos, etc etc

blue christmas lights

and of course the one that causes controversy - eating icecream on its own - it’s a condiment, dammit! Grin

BusterGonad · 03/01/2021 18:48

I can't relate to couples who go to their parents/in laws every Sunday for a roast, or the whole let's cook a roast because its Sunday.

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 03/01/2021 18:49

These big daft fake eyelashes that look like they belong on the back of a roadsweeper...

Shamoo · 03/01/2021 18:49

Lip filler.

RealisticSketch · 03/01/2021 18:51

Yyy to cruises. Had a colleague who loved them and went on one every year. I could see why she did, they offered everything she enjoyed - great excuse to dress up glamorously daily, unlimited rich food, many entertainments on offer everywhere you turn and lots of new people to share it all with... She couldn't fathom that someone could not find this appealing. It is my idea of the 7th ring of hell. 😆

0blio · 03/01/2021 18:53

@Jenstar123

Holding other people’s babies. Beer. Cold holiday destinations.
Oh yes to other people's babies! Loved my own (and grandchildren) but feel quite yuk about others' offspring, especially at work.
Cheesyblasters · 03/01/2021 18:53

Close relationships with family members. We had a dysfunctional family where we didn't spend positive time together or really talk to each other much, so I find it strange that adults phone their mums/dads/siblings when they're upset or have news.

I can understand travel to an extent, but I don't understand the travel 'bug'. I find being in a country where I can communicate and don't know how things work incredibly stressful!

Also, 'night out with the girls'. I've never had a group of female friends and I'm not sure why a night out has to be exclusively female, I'd find that really artificial.

Baths. Tried a few times to have a relaxing bath but honestly once I've got in I'm looking around like 'now what?' Then I start noticing jobs to do in the bathroom!

  1. People who get really angry when others dont drink alcohol. Ive experienced this myself and I think its so weird. My not drinking doesnt mean you cant drink so why the anger about it? and why the need for everyone to get just as pissed as you for you to have a good time? weird.
  1. TV soaps. Depressing and tedious. I want to be entertained by TV not to watch people screaming and arguing at each other
  1. Glastonbury. Standing knee deep in someone else's poo in the freezing cold whilst you watch a distant dot on a stage sing off key, after 15 pints of stella
  1. Veganism. My God- a life without cheese isnt worth living.
  1. Instagram. Sorry, but I simply dont buy that you genuinely spend most of your life doing yoga at sunset on the edge of a cliff.
Also- if its such a wonderful moment for quiet, self contemplation who the fck is taking the photo??
