Makeup. I have it and I wear it very rarely but I can't grasp people putting on makeup every single day and then having to remove it again every night

Mrsfrumble · 05/01/2021 23:14

Parking. The obsession with parking! Don’t have a car. Couldn’t give a shit who parks outside my house.

Putting 25 different skin care products on your face at the same time. These videos keep popping up on Instagram of young women putting oil after serum after cream on their already beautiful, youthful faces. Looks times consuming, expensive and probably irritating for the skin.

Bloodyfrostycar · 06/01/2021 12:59

Watching football as a 'fan'. I can understand why people might like to play it and even why people who enjoy playing might find it interesting to watch it being player by professionals. But I can't imagine getting as excited and emotional as people claim to be- or spending ££££ to sit in the cold and watch. I get that people all enjoy different things but simply mentioning that I don't like football seems to result in disbelief. I once voiced, to a friend who was a big football fan, the opinion that it was just a game after all (in the context of her team losing a big match) and it was several weeks before she spoke to me again. The general consensus of opinion from other friends was that this was a perfectly reasonable reaction and I should apologise.

@IEat

What the fuck does 'Slagging of Trump' actually mean?

Why do the hard-of-thunkin' types use the fucking word 'slagging' so profusely?

argghhh.... Angry

thecatsthecats · 10/01/2021 11:22

Beauty regimes. The sheer amount of money and time some women put into them is astounding.

It's not that I don't get haircuts or wear make up or paint my nails, it's the whole regimen that disturbs me. I do those things for a purpose or because I gave the time and money to indulge. They're not a minimum standard and I feel fine if I don't do them.

ilikebooksandplants · 10/01/2021 12:05

False eyelashes on the majority of people. I loooooove make up and all of that so it’s not a snobby thing about make up, but I just hate the massive eyelashes trend at the moment - I feel like I can always see the glue and it looks weirdly gloopy?

Having children. Not for me.

Cleaning as popularised by Mrs Hinch and other insta accounts desperate to be like her. I get wanting to have a nice home and for it to be clean (same!) but to obsess about cleaning to the extent that some of them do is just depressing. It’s always women isn’t it? Men manage to live in a clean house without making it in to a personality type!

Russellbrandshair · 10/01/2021 18:03

Cleaning as popularised by Mrs Hinch and other insta accounts desperate to be like her

OMG YES! I clean my house. I like having a clean house. But when I’m not cleaning it, I want to be doing something fun, not reading about cleaning or watching videos about cleaning or searching cleaning blogs. Cleaning is a chore- cleaning the toilet is a chore it’s not something I could ever take pleasure in and I just don’t get it.

Trinacham · 10/01/2021 18:06

having an ex

MynephewR · 10/01/2021 18:11

Tea and coffee, yuck.
Gin, yuck.
Pets, I don't dislike animals as such, and I care quite a lot about them. But I wouldn't want one living with me or to have the responsibility of looking after one.

evilharpy · 10/01/2021 18:27

Hot tubs
Gambling of any kind, from Vegas casinos to buying a scratchcard
Any sort of alcohol paraphernalia (I like a gin but don't need twee little signs or birthday cards about it)
Any season other than summer
Camping (shudder)
The countryside
