To think some celeb fans are scary!

After watching a film, I googled the two lead actors (one male, one female...okay okay, it was 50 Shades. Don't judge me!! Blush)

Up came a fan site with posts saying "they would totally be together if it wasn't for his wife!" Shock

AIBU to think that it's a bit scary that people are so invested in film characters that they think the actors ARE them, and should be together in real life?

It made me feel a bit ick for the actors involved.....and for poor Jamie Dornan's wife!

On the other hand I once worked with the barely-working actress wife of a somewhat famous TV actor, who was an even bigger nut than most fans. Think throwing a tantrum (literally banging her fists on the table like a toddler) because a pap didn't want to take her photo, and walking out of a major awards ceremony in order to find and try to break into the backstage VIP room (the little room where the winners go immediately after coming off-stage) then straight up walking out of the building and going home in a fit of pique at being denied entry to the winners' enclosure even after she'd explained "but my boyfriend is in there!"

Yep, the partners/spouses can be just as bad! The ones that "get it" can often be given a little leeway, but the other ones like the one above, no chance.

We had a singer once who we had to refuse access to a particular area as it was a working area, and out of bounds to party guests. She didnt give a shit, but her manager and family members threw an absolute shit fit. The mind boggles.

I worked with a super fan twice.(same woman). First time she was obsessed with that show from the 90s about a Mountie. Then I worked with her about 5 years later and it was Boyzone. Totally denied being bonkers about Mountie. I let slip I’d worked for a company dealing with Boyzone merch, god I became her best mate, until I mentioned I couldn’t get any. And I said my ex boss had been to Ronan’s wedding. Apparently it didn’t happen, it was a fake and I was a liar. She went home crying and requested a desk move.

Some of these "fans" sound borderline dangerous! The wife of the famous actor sounds hilariously entitled. Wonder if they are still married or whether he has ditched her for tantrumming?

I always get the impression that hangers on give far more shits than the celeb themselves. How embarrassing if that's your family! Blush

Holy shit! I just had a look. It's a book! Anyone would think JKR wrote it as a Wizards Guide To Life, the way some posters are going on.
