Do introverted parents tend to have introverted kids?

What's your experience? Currently pregnant and wondering what baby's personality would be like. I'm a real introvert and feel like I would understand an introverted child more although I know there are no guarantees!

@Hardbackwriter, sorry wasn't suggesting at all you were being negative about introversion. I agree with what you said - it's not good for parents to try to force their kids to be a certain way.

Now that I think about it, my parents didn't like having people back to their house and I'm the same!

I would say even if the child eventually turns out to be introverted, children in general are much more extroverted anyway. They always want company and attention, especially from parents!

My ex and I are introverts - I have one extrovert child, two introverts and one in the middle.
