Please help me order hotel chocolat velvetizer refills in Ireland

caperplips · 27/12/2020 15:50

Hello all
Our teen got a velvetizer for Christmas which came with 10 sachets of different types of hot chocolate & 2 cups.
We would like to order refills of 2 types & 2 more cups but hotel chocolat will not deliver to Ireland which is astounding given they have a store in Dublin!
We're 3 hours from Dublin & 5 hours from Belfast. I can't see they refills she wants on Amazon - white chocolate & salted caramel - does anyone know where or how I can get some here? Thanks!!

Try eBay?

Ineedmysay · 27/12/2020 16:06

Use parcelmotel or addresspal

caperplips · 27/12/2020 16:09

Thanks! I will look at both eBay & parcelmotel now. Would be so brilliant if one of these worked as dd pretty disappointed with a useless gift if we can't get the refills

Amazon maybe?

PlumpAndPlain · 27/12/2020 16:12

John Lewis sell Hotel Chocolat stuff - not sure on delivery to Ireland?

ConstantlySeekingHappiness · 27/12/2020 16:12

Sorry ignore me, I’ve just reread your post Confused

Orchidflower1 · 27/12/2020 16:14

Not the point of your post @caperplips but is it worth the money? I’d quite like one but I’m not sure it’s worthy of the cash. Does your dd rate it? Thanks

Orchidflower1 · 27/12/2020 16:15

My other thought rather than just asking you a question is- do you have anyone in the uk who can get them and send them via DPD / yodel or similar?

Charlie63849 · 27/12/2020 16:17

I can order it for you and then post it to Ireland if you want. Genuine offer and you can pay via pay pal goods and services so if I don’t send you can claim the money back easily Smile

I have one. Had it for a year. I like it and use it a lot. We also buy a lot of hotel Chocolat hot chocolate. Salted caramel is a fav along with vanilla white.
caperplips · 27/12/2020 16:22

Thanks everyone! The actual machine was bought from Amazon before Christmas but they don't seem to stock the refills which is such a pity.
Hotel chocolat allow you to enter all your details etc & at the process pay bit say they don't deliver to Ireland. They have 2 stored in Dublin neither of which deliver either

In answer to the poster who asked- yes it's def worth it & She LOVES it. She particularly liked the white chocolate & the salted caramel one but there was only 1 sachet of each in the box of 10.

Sadly we don't know anyone in the UK who could send some that would be the ideal thing.

We had no idea we would not be able to get the refills so it's pretty disappointing

@Charlie63849 that is a really really kind offer. I will keep exploring options but may come back to you if I have no joy online. I truly appreciate it x

Parcel motel and AddressPal have suspended their UK operations because of Brexit.

I live 4km from the Dundrum store. If you're stuck, send me a PM. At least I live in Dublin so the cost of sending it too you is easier. Again I'll happily do it via PayPal.

CrystalFlyer · 27/12/2020 16:30

ParcelMotel isn’t working at that moment. They’ve suspended their UK address option. I can’t remember what AddressPal is doing but probably the same.

ireland.desertcart.com/products/85563988-hotel-chocolat-salted-caramel-hot-chocolate-pack-of-10-single-serve-sachets

Not in stock presently but that could be due to Christmas orders. Might be worth keeping an eye on for future orders.

fairydustandpixies · 27/12/2020 16:41

QVC sell those, might be worth a go??

Yewtown · 27/12/2020 16:49

If you can't get the Hotel Chocolat ones it seems you can use any hot chocolate flakes.

gabsdot45 · 27/12/2020 16:59

I live in West Dublin. If its not too far from me I can get them for you and post them.

caperplips · 27/12/2020 17:04

You are all v v kind & I appreciate it
I am usually in Dublin v regularly with work but won't be for the next while due to travel restrictions. But ordinarily I would be able to stock up when I'm there.
Are the Dublin stores allowed to stay open at the moment?

I use the whittard hot chocolate powders in mine -they work perfectly...
Sticky toffee pudding flavour is my favourite

SionnachRua · 27/12/2020 17:39

I live near the Dundrum (Dublin) shop, would be happy to post some down to you. Afaik they are open. Let me know if you need the hand!

Andbearsohmy · 27/12/2020 17:50

I have a velvetiser and we found a brand called Pendragons that sell hot chocolate slightly cheaper than Hotel Chocolate but they taste just as good in the velvetiser. They have a massive range of flavours including toasted marshmallow. I know it's not the answer you're looking for but worth a look.

TheLongRider · 27/12/2020 18:57

It sounds as if we need to set up a South Dublin chapter of Mumsnet! 🇮🇪

ExtraOnions · 27/12/2020 19:03

I use Green & Blacks cocoa Powder in mine ... it’s very nice (and cheaper than the refills)

caperplips · 27/12/2020 21:46

Thank you all for the suggestions of alternative chocolate to use. I will look into them in the future but since she has just got it for this Christmas & part of the appeal for her is the hotel chocolat make which is a treat.
I would be happy to take one of the Dublin posters up on their offer if it still stands ?
Thanks!
