Help me find this song for my mum. Something about a disco kid by Linda or Lynn with a double barrelled name.

She's vague so not much to go on I'm afraid. It's been on radio 2 a fair bit before Christmas with a male DJ that starts at 9.30 in the morning. Something about a disco kid and she says it a woman that she thinks was on Loose Women and possibly Strictly. I'm
Clueless and google has not been my friend so far.

what the future holds by steps?

Disco kid does make me think it’s Crying At The Discotheque by Sophie Ellis Bextor

AuntieStella · 26/12/2020 10:03

Could it be something by Linda Ronstadt? That sort of sounds double-barrelled and she's the right genre

Have a look at the radio 2 playlists on their website.

I also think it's Crying at the Discotheque by Sophie Ellis Bextor.

It's bloody annoying and I wanted to strangle her with her "tie like Richard Gere" before too long

FestiveFannyGallops · 26/12/2020 10:21

It IS Sophie Ellis Bextor 🙄 now I've played her the song she said "of course!" Age us in her 80s Grin
Thank you!
