Please don't judge! I'm no cook but I'm attempting to make Christmas dinner today!

It's looking like my roasties will be ready an hour before the turkey will be ready!

They look good and they're nearly done 🤦‍♀️ What do I do? 😫😅

Take them out and put them back in 10 mins before the end!

nomorespaghetti · 25/12/2020 15:47

It’ll be grand, just take them out and put them to the side, put them back in 10-15 mins before you’re serving

TVDFan · 25/12/2020 15:47

Is that OK to do? Will the fat start to solidify or will the roasties lose their crisp?

Take them out and pop them back in about 10 mins from serving.

Mousehole10 · 25/12/2020 15:49

It's fine to take them out and put them back in later. Alternatively let them cook until done, take out and cover with foil, then put them right at the bottom of the oven to heat up again

mountains76 · 25/12/2020 15:56

OP it's fine but whatever you do, don't cover them up otherwise they'll steam and go soft. just bung them in a bowl uncovered and pop them back in to warm up.

Unhomme · 25/12/2020 16:01

Not helpful i know...but I dont even put the roasties in until the turkey is 30 mins from coming out...

Others have given great advice.

TVDFan · 25/12/2020 16:07

Thank you all! I've just taken them out and left them in the roasting tin 🤞

better than ours op looks like our oven is in the fritz and is burning everytghing

Crunchymum · 25/12/2020 16:34

I'm having the opposite issue. Roast spuds nowhere near done and everything else is!!
