Hello,

I have vouchers to a spend at JL and would like a roomba. The 7 series looks good as it has mapping (essential) but doesn't have brilliant reviews which worries me for the price of £650!!

Can anyone help me decide?

There is the:

E5152 £399
R974 £499
I7150 £649

Thank you!!

And I know iABU to ask here really!

Anyone? I have saved work vouchers and birthday vouchers for 5 years and desperately wanted to get one.

Thank you

Why don't you try Which or something like that? Probably going to give you better answers than AIBU.

Does John Lewis do the Eufy? That was highly rated in here and I bought one a couple of months ago and love it.

WhatDoHedgehogsSay · 23/12/2020 10:12

I have a Eufy and it’s great!

MillyMollyMardy · 23/12/2020 10:32

I have a lowly 671 Roomba, which isn't mappable but can be set off and scheduled via the appt. It does sometimes miss areas and get stuck on things and it looks like the models you're looking at have been redesigned to avoid this. You're also paying for control via Google and Alexa.
I'm ok with just moving the Roomba if he's missed anywhere. They clean really well. I have a cleaner but the amount of debris the Roomba still finds is startling. If you're getting the Roomba to clean whilst you're out get the one with mapping.

Thirding an EUFY one :)

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 23/12/2020 10:42

Eufy and don't bother with mapping imo

OutedByHobby · 23/12/2020 10:46

If you have been saving gift vouchers for years, check they’re still valid.

I did the same with mine, saving for a particular splurge, only to learn they expire.

I think it’s bloody theft, but it’s legal. I no longer give gift vouchers.

PenelopePiper · 23/12/2020 21:05

Thank you. No sadly JL doesn't do the Eufy as I read those threads and want to get one.

Oh no! I didn't think about the expiry date.... I will need to check! Thank you for mentioning that!

We have a roomba that maps, I love it!
It takes itself home when low charge then restarts where it left off - greatvwhen you are out all day!
would get another straight away if it broke - 2 years old and going strong in a 2 dg househod.

Nothingoriginalhere · 23/12/2020 21:30

dg = dogs

Eufy for the hoover and something else lovely from the JL sale? Bit of an Eufy fan here...

That probably would have made sense! But I got pulled into the JL sale and bought the romba! There was £150 off!!!

I will let you know how it goes.

I think I need to wait until the Christmas tree is down... I am worried it'll get knocked over!

Arrives on 10 days!!

Eufy here. He’s lovely.

Nothingoriginalhere · 03/01/2021 17:04

Sorry Just remembered this!
We have the 980 which is the old style mapping - ( we have has it quite some time) so I believe it remaps everytime it goes out
I would go out and replace striaght away if it broke.
