My town enters tier 4 on Boxing Day. Employer contacted me today to tell me we are staying open and I’m expected at work as usual after Christmas. It’s a small family run business selling a non essential product online with 3 full time staff including me. The building is extremely small with no social distancing possible and nobody wearing masks. I need the job so refusing isn’t an option but it seems wrong that they are using the loophole of selling online to stay open regardless of staff welfare, especially when they refuse to follow any COVID safety guidance. My job could also be done fully remotely but it’s not allowed.
