To wonder if anybody have conceived on their period?

I know there is the slightest chance it could happen, but never to me!

Sorry if this is long or doesn’t make sense I’m genuinely curious about this topic
My cycles last around 28-30 days my LMP was the 21st of September as per usual 5 days long.
However my body is strange not sure if it’s normal or not but 4 days after my period finished I ovulated and that was that.

Come a month later missed my period as you do done a clear blue digital and it came out BFP with 3+ weeks on the indicator

Went to my dating scan and the Sonographer told me I was 13w 0d exactly which makes me conceive on the 23rd September thought I was 12w 2d along (this was 16th December)

(No sex during period although I know sperm can live in side a woman’s body for a certain amount of time)
Has anyone ever conceived on their period? Was you in shock? How did you feel about it?

You can't technically conceive on your period because you can't ovulate on your period. But you can have sex on your period and there still be sperm alive on ovulation day (up to 7 days later) to fertilise the egg. No personal experience, but dating scans can be off by up to a week or so because the growth rate can seem slightly faster or slower depending on how long implantation took.

yes, I waited for years to conceive, got pregnant on the last day of period.

They can’t tell what date you conceived from your scan.

They can make a best guess based on measurements of the foetus.

Also you can be 1 week pregnant without being pregnant (I think). They start counting weeks from the day of your last period, not the day you conceived.

So if you are 13w pregnant you might have conceived only 11 weeks ago. (From memory this is how it works).

Yes. My period is 7 days long and I ovulate on Day 5. Made trying to conceive a lot easier once we’d figured that out!
