Crappy moving ads each side of Mumsnet page

Am I being unreasonable to be really pissed off that suddenly the Mumsnet page has shrunk to allow annoying targeted ads to scroll either side of the page? I know they want subscribers now but not everyone can subscribe. I have been active on Mumsnet for around 15 years and this has really put me off. I am on an old iPad. Is everyone having this?

Mine keeps going in and out. It's really annoying and hard to read the smaller print. Also distracting. Not a particularly old iPad.

I mainly use a laptop and get (amongst many others) non stop IrisRuby ads for those beautiful sweaters and thought I might treat myself. Looking at the Chinese site and their terrible reviews I changed my mind. I get the odd notification asking me to consider signing up and paying for Mumsnet and yes it is very annoying. Sorry site owners no offence intended!

Don’t see them on my phone but on my laptop are there.
Also, there’s an Christmas video/ad(?) with a lady with strange eyeliner that I find very distracting popping everywhere. I have no idea what she’s saying as I’m transfix with her thick almost vertical eyeliner.

Get ad blocker, i don't get any ads.
