In no particular order, mine would be

AIBU to spend Christmas with seventy million people?

AIBU to be pissed off with my present from DH?

What’s yours?

@Charcutaria

Christmas has been cancelled, will Christmas be cancelled?. They can't cancel Christmas not now!!
^^^^ This!

Oh and Brexit/do I need to stockpile food and loo roll threads!

WorraLiberty · 19/12/2020 11:53

And ban anyone who posts on Christmas night to ask if they're being unreasonable to take the decorations down on Boxing day 👀

EurosprogBauble · 19/12/2020 11:54

Anything with "confused" or "bubble" in the title

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 19/12/2020 11:57

"Christmas IS cancelled" blah blah blah. No, the government can't cancel Christmas ffs, just the plans you had to gether may be restricted.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 19/12/2020 11:57

I would ban the term "bubbling up" as well 🤣🤣

"We are bubbling up with my mum for christmas" sounds really weird, like they are all spending Christmas in a pan of water sitting on a hob 🤣.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 19/12/2020 11:58

Gather, not gether!

Donotgogentle · 19/12/2020 11:59

Can we ban the threads that go:-

“I’ve bought the whole Smyths catalogue for my DC #Making Memories”

Vs

“I’ve bought DC a hair shirt, a chocolate orange and a charity goat”

which then descends into a heated debate about social class, as so many MN threads do.

Retiremental · 19/12/2020 11:59

Cauliflower cheese/gravy threads are always fun. Won’t ban those Xmas Grin

Covid. A week without a mention of it would be great, I'll even talk about Brexit maybe

Hailtomyteeth · 19/12/2020 12:00

Just ban all mention of Christmas, ta.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 19/12/2020 12:00

Yes to the phrase "bubbling up". There are quite a few words and phrases that I think should be completed eradicated from the English language after this. Or at least made a criminal offence to use in certain contexts.

ChristmasinJune · 19/12/2020 12:03

I'm just waiting for the hundreds of threads about people being disappointed by their Secret Santa gift, they should arrive any day now I think! Grin

GintyMcGinty · 19/12/2020 12:04

I haven't bought my turkey yet should I panic!!!!

TheTiersOfAClownAKABoris · 19/12/2020 12:04

"Use that big wet thing that's in your mouth and ask your family!"

@GlummyMcGlummerson This genuinely took me a minute to work out what you meant then Grin

GintyMcGinty · 19/12/2020 12:05

I've only spent £10,000 on DD - is it enough?

Dyrne · 19/12/2020 12:07

“These people celebrate Christmas in a slight different way to me and therefore they are WRONG!”

CarolVordermansBum · 19/12/2020 12:07

Unhappy with inheritance threads

Henio · 19/12/2020 12:07

I second Brexit. Just been on the M20 too.

It's happening, its here, us plebs have zero say now anyway so stick your fingers in your ears

Fa-la-la-la, la la la lah!

spanieleyes · 19/12/2020 12:09

Could we just ban ALL school threads, either positive ( which always end up negative anyway) or not!

PuppyMonkey · 19/12/2020 12:11

Anything about Christmas Eve boxes.

user1471565182 · 19/12/2020 12:23

Nigella did ham in coke? (fighting the urge to make the obvious joke). I've never understood that recipe.

Plussizejumpsuit · 19/12/2020 12:25

Anything about how much food is too much etc. The competitive under eaters are still around at Christmas and this is no time for it.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 19/12/2020 12:25

this one is about responses - Anything that is followed by NOW

A&E. NOW

  1. NOW

Stop. NOW

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 19/12/2020 12:26

Anyone fussing about the size of their piles should be banned, alone with the “just buy a cheap blanket/dressing gown/bean bag to bulk them up” replies. Anusol should be the only thing recommend for piles.
