I noted on the QANN sections shared by Trump seemed to have flashing in the middle. I don't think the US has any specific rules on subliminal messages as we do here. Did anyone else notice it?

Fox News is continuing to distance itself from Trump and his claims. Even Judge Jeanie and Lou Dobbs are now saying voter fraud didn't happen via the voting machines. What hypocrites they are.

Even amid the chaos, it’s worth taking a step back to think about where we are: An American president, unwilling to concede his defeat by 7 million popular votes and 74 Electoral College votes, is still trying to steal the election. It has become his obsession.

In the process, Trump has in too many cases turned his party into an instrument of illiberalism and nihilism. Here are just a couple of data points to underscore that claim: 18 attorneys general and more than half the Republicans in the House supported a seditious abuse of the judicial process.

And it’s not only, or even mainly, elected officials. The Republican Party’s base has often followed Trump into the twilight zone, with a sizable majority of them affirming that Joe Biden won the election based on fraud and many of them turning against medical science in the face of a surging pandemic.

COVID-19 is now killing Americans at the rate of about one per minute, but the president is “just done with COVID,” a source identified as one of Trump’s closest advisers told The Washington Post. “I think he put it on a timetable and he’s done with COVID ... It just exceeded the amount of time he gave it.”

This is where Trump’s crippling psychological condition—his complete inability to face unpleasant facts, his toxic narcissism, and his utter lack of empathy—became lethal. Trump’s negligence turned what would have been a difficult winter into a dark one. If any of his predecessors—Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan, to go back just 40 years—had been president during this pandemic, tens of thousands of American lives would almost surely have been saved.

I’m hoping Trump is sued personally by Smartmatic after he leaves office.

That’s why Fox had to put out all the statements about Fraud not being true. But is it enough

It will be a legal quagmire.

It's a long established principle that you don't get out of slander/defamation/libel by going "Oh, sorry, we were wrong" after the fact just to get out of being sued. Not if the original utterance was made in bad faith.

Also any news organisation, or even Fox, would be held to a much higher standard than the average John Doe. So their retraction means much less.

And malicious libel tends to be a criminal charge - which would open the door to all sorts of writs of discovery that Fox might really not want to have to endure. Especially as it seems the courts aren't really buying into the Trump defence of "I'm the president".

There would probably be enough source material for an entire reboot of classic "Law & Order".

From that link: "Naming a special counsel would make it harder for Biden to shut down investigations." (into Hunter Biden and into election fraud).

I don't see that he would need to, apart from them probably being a complete waste of money. An investigation into election fraud might even catch Mitch McConnell dead to rights.

Employers will no longer have to provide paid sick leave to workers who get infected with COVID-19 after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked that extension from being included in Congress’s latest coronavirus aid package.

In March, Congress passed a law mandating that workers are able to draw two weeks of paid sick leave if they contract COVID, two weeks of paid leave to care for a quarantining relative, and up to 10 weeks of paid family leave to care for a child whose school or daycare is closed for COVID-related reasons.

BuzzFeed News previously reported that McConnell was pushing to block the paid leave mandate from being extended. Congressional aides in both parties confirmed Monday that the extension was left out of the aid bill as a concession to McConnell.
