To want to scream that 'Third Country' and 'Third World Country' (which is an offensive term btw) are not the same thing!!!!!

For disclosure: Remain voting household still pro EU

So, my AIBU is in the title, am I?

Third Country = non EU Member state or EEA Country as in the term 'Third Country Nationals' (TCN in the legislation)

Third Word country should be termed developing countries.

I just keep seeing this on threads and it is driving me conkers! Yes, Brexit will be shit and it will slow our growth and future development. BUT we will not become a developing country on the 1st Jan 2020!

I thought the correct terminology now was minority and majority world countries ;-)

I think Brexit supporters miscontrue EU/remainer references to 'third' countries either deliberately (so they can argue about the EU wanting us to be 'third world' and project fear etc) or out of ignorance. Neither are easily solved though.
