To think you shouldn’t display when you don’t know what it says?!

My parents have a sign on display in their garden room/barn. The sign is not in English. I asked today what it says, they have no idea!
I’ll attempt to post a photo, if it’s offensive I’ll delete it!! No point posting without the photo really is there!
Can anyone tell us what the language is and what it says please?

I don't know what it says but I think it's in Russian?

CarlottaValdez · 18/12/2020 13:06

Yes that’s risky! Didn’t Christina Aguilera get into trouble with dodgy signs in one of her videos?

Patooty · 18/12/2020 13:06

I translated this through Google lens...
Which translates it as
DO NOT PASS THROUGH THE GRASS AREAS! Grin

Patooty · 18/12/2020 13:07

I wouldn't have a sign that I didn't understand but at least it isn't offensive!

FoxyTheFox · 18/12/2020 13:08

It means keep off the grass.

CarlottaValdez · 18/12/2020 13:08

I’ve just googled and Christina had signs saying underage girls in Thai language.

CarlottaValdez · 18/12/2020 13:08

So could’ve been worse

Yonifellover · 18/12/2020 13:11

Hopefully it is not something about Pampas Grass Shock

CheekyFuckerHQ · 18/12/2020 13:38

Thank you all very much. Mum mum thought it was something ordinary like that, my dad hasn’t let her put it outside where it can be seen in case it’s inviting people in to some kind of illegal drinking den 😂

I think that's Greek rather than Russian, isn't it?

MaskingForIt · 18/12/2020 13:53

@ShinyMe

No, it definitely includes Cyrillic letters which are missing from the modern Greek alphabet.

It's the same with tattoos. They seem to be quite frequently in my husband's language, and he often has a double take at them! He saw one on a woman recently that read "my close and lovely space love"!!! At least it wasn't offensive.

Yup I love Google Lens and was coming to post the same
tinselfest · 18/12/2020 14:26

Their version of 'Keep off the grass' then. Love it Grin

Brickdon · 18/12/2020 14:29

Google Lens also tells me that it is Bulgarian.
