To ask you where's nice for reasonably priced rings?

DS (17) wants to buy his gf a ring for Christmas (not engagement!).

She's lovely, has quite a cool style, nose piercing, dyed silver hair- he's asked for help finding something, thinking perhaps she might appreciate something a bit different- not a massive budget though.

Any ideas lovely people?

Regal Rose would be right for her style

IDontDrinkTea · 16/12/2020 21:58

How about Carrie Elizabeth jewellery?

cabinbythelake20 · 16/12/2020 21:58

Honu jewellery

Cheeringmeup · 16/12/2020 21:58

Is Pandora a bit tacky now for their age? Was popular a few years ago when my DD was that age and when DS bought his girlfriend jewellery from there

If it's still in fashion I'd suggest pandora...Some nice rings and not too expensive

RedPandaFluff · 16/12/2020 22:03

Rough budget, @Pumpkintopf . . . ? My suggestions would be different depending on whether it's £20, £40, £80 etc.

Pumpkintopf · 16/12/2020 22:09

About £50 @RedPandaFluff

Excited to look at these suggestions, thank you all!!

I'd suggest Missoma then - silver rings start at about £40, with some gold bands at £50-£60. There's £10 off your first order too.

Something else I'd recommend is to look at the clothing brands she wears and likes - if she has a favourite label, that brand might do jewellery and accessories too, which might be a safe bet.

It's also worth having a look on Etsy - there are some really pretty and unusual ones on there.

Off topic slightly but Etsy is also brilliant for antique rings as well!

AmIAWeed · 17/12/2020 08:19

Antique shop - you'll get some lovely and unusual designs for a fraction of the cost of new.

Pumpkintopf · 17/12/2020 08:37

Fab, will check those out. Thanks v much!

Depends what she likes bit there's a jeweler on Etsy that I LOVE- Emai. Everything is handmade so one of a kind, and is beautiful. I've bought three pieces from her recently as I'm a bit obsessed.

Bagelsandbrie · 17/12/2020 08:49

Oliver Bonas. Asos.

Pumpkintopf · 17/12/2020 09:41

@lookingatthings I'm probably being thick but I can't find her on Etsy - any chance of a link please? Sorry!

lookingatthings · 17/12/2020 12:43

If there's stuff on her insta that isn't in her Etsy shop she responds to DMS, and can do custom peices too.

FancyAnOlive · 17/12/2020 12:50

Etsy. loads of lovely and unusual stuff out there - try looking for 'vintage silver rings'. I buy lots of vintage jewellery on there.

SecretSpAD · 17/12/2020 12:55

I've just bought my daughter her bubble ring for Christmas.

I've also just bought myself an antique art nouveau ring from there as well - it'll be out of his price range, but totally gorgeous and really unusual (far too unusual for a photo on here sorry!!)
