To think You shouldn't ignore people who have had Covid?

I'm back at work and going to the stables after doing 11 days of isolating after I had a positive Covid test, no symptom other than a slight cough and taste and smell not fully back to normal.

People at the stable have told me to stay away from them in a nasty and aggressive way and will no longer talk to me, instead they just ignore me. I wouldn't care if they had done it to just me, but adults are doing it to my 8 year old daughters making them feel uncomfortable.
The owner is fine with us being there now but everyone else I guess thinks differently.

Has anyone else had experience of this after isolating from a positive result?

No but I can imagine it. People are quite terrified and generally fear isn’t rational.

That’s disgusting behaviour. Sorry you had to go through that. Our school has had lots of people with COVID positive results and we just resume our contact (socially distanced hello and hi’s) at the school gates once they have recovered. I have noticed that some people have actively made sure they are wearing masks after recovery whereas before many of them didn’t.

I hear you OP. It's the same when you are related to someone who has died from it as well.

People are afraid but yeah its annoying. I had covid back in March and people acted like I had the black death.

RememberSelfCompassion · 16/12/2020 10:23

Im really sorry but I would stay away as well. They've only just reduced it from 14 days til 10 and as I'm vulnerable am terrified. However I'm rarely anywhere where I would be close to someone.

It wouldn't be personal. I'd offer phone support and order an online delivery for someone etc. I just wouldn't wouldn't want to be near them as I'm reducing all the risk I can.

I'm sure it will blow over in a week or two.
