To ask if anyone on cerelle has experience of this?

I have been on the mini pill cerelle for 16 months and bleed for three weeks at a time, I spoke to the gum clinic today about this and they want me to double dose for a month and then go back to one pill a day after 4-6 weeks but I’m concerned that even if it helps the bleeding my libido, weight and mental health will get worse. Does anyone have any experience?

Not of that as I recall, but it ruined my libido! I never wanted sex, ever. In that way, it was a great contraceptive - I don’t take hormonal contraception now.

If your body doesn’t get on with it do ask the GP for a different one, don’t suffer without telling them if any concerning side effects.

I was on this for a good few years. It was fine for about 18 months, bled for a week reliably at the same time each month. Then suddenly I would bleed for 7 days, stop for 2, bleed for another 7 then break for 2 weeks. I put up with it for a year and then stopped taking it. I was prescribed it again after giving birth and it made me bleed horrendously withing 2 days of taking so chucked it straight in the bin!!!
