In process of v ugly separation and it is a contested case so CAFCASS are involved. I am seeing her via Teams on Weds. DS is 6 and she will be seeing him at school. He had contact this weekend and is always distressed afterwards, he misses his DF and wants things to go back to how they were. I feel that in the last few weeks my ex has been feeding DS lines about what to say; I am very worried that if ex becomes resident parent this will be bad for both DCs (the younger one is a toddler). Will CAFCASS see through this? I am currently resident parent and I think that it should stay this way or we should have a shared care order but not what my ex wants which is that I see see DCs every other weekend and once in the week. I am worried that if I raise these concerns it will look like I am "slagging off the other parent". We only have an hour or so in the Teams meeting.

My experience of CAFCASS has been positive. I’d think about making a note of things I wanted to raise, but letting the officer lead the discussion.

Thank you for your response... Do you mean like letting the cafcass woman ask the questions? What sort of questions did they ask you? If you don't mind me askinf

Yes, let them ask the questions, but perhaps have a checklist to make sure you cover everything you want.
