To ask you to recommend me some good quality slippers?

I’m fed up of crap slippers. I’ve tried all the high street shop ones and they’re all a bit rubbish. Can you recommend me some that are hard wearing, comfortable, good grippy sole, not pink or sparkly and will not go all saggy and end up being a health and safety hazard?

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for warm, high-quality slippers, we’ve recently updated our best women’s slippers page with lots of great options, as worn and loved by Mumsnet users. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

I've ordered some Morland ones in the last couple of days, which I'm looking forward to wearing.

I hate slippers and their fluffiness and need arch support. I wear Josef Siebel Betsy Clogs instead.

paiop · 13/12/2020 22:11

Totes isotoners. Had mine for years. They give arch support too, I have very high arches and need something there. My now 4 year old dog had a munch on my pair when she was a puppy but apart from that they are still going strong. I guess they are similar to those moshulu ones recommended up there as but are a lot more reasonably priced!

Crocs fleece lined slippers are great. Really thick soles with amazing grip and very warm. Mine are now 5 years old and are still like new.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 13/12/2020 22:17

Costco sheep skin slippers. Amazing, comfy, no slipping.

Dominoz · 13/12/2020 22:21

Emu - Mayberry. They often have 20% off www.emuaustralia.com/uk/womens/slippers

Pluckedpencil · 13/12/2020 22:22

The brand I buy in Italy which is so comfy but has a proper sole for our marble floors is 'inblu'. They last for years and years. They are made like a shoe, like a comfy clog. They aren't even that expensive but they are good!! No gimmicks. Like these:

Uggs

Nonochair · 13/12/2020 22:24

They are ugly as anything but I like the crocs with fleecy lining.

AdultHumanFemale · 13/12/2020 22:25

Shepherd!
My whole family wears them and they're great if a little pricey.

Zeetah · 13/12/2020 22:26

My latest Celtic Sheepskin are completely trashed after less than 2 years and customer service were not especially helpful when I complained...... very disappointed.
DH has had his years and they are still like new Sad

Thereluctantstepmother · 13/12/2020 22:27

Uggs have a thick sole and are really good qual

nicky2512 · 13/12/2020 22:27

I love the Moshulus! Can someone tell me if they are big/small/true to size. I’m a size 5.5 so always need to decide whether to size up or down.

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 13/12/2020 22:29

I like slippers with a proper sole that doesn’t get wet so I can nip the the bins etc

So my current “slippers” are a pair of naff crappy semi trainer like slip on things from Aldi. Probably designed as a comfy summer shoe.

They are great as I don’t get wet feet, non slip sole and I wear with warm
Socks in winter and bare feet in summer.
Sorted!

Mountainpika · 13/12/2020 22:32

Sheepland in Somerset.
Been wearing their slippers for years. Last well. Good choice of styles. Excellent customer service, small firm.

I've got a pair of bedroom athletics purple fluffy slipper boots.

I love them, they are a replacement for a pair of I think Clark's purple fluffy slipper boots that my DH bought me for our first Christmas together. They lasted a few years and I've spent the last 6-7 years trying to find some similar and as good. Failed miserably until last year when I found the bedroom athletics and asked DH for them for Christmas. They are very warm though!

NellePorter · 13/12/2020 23:01

I hated my moshulus! I now have the Fat Face Maya slipper boots (not too spendy) as my feet have been cold whilst working from home, and they are excellent.

Fudgefeet · 13/12/2020 23:03

Moshulu for us too.

Silverjellybean71 · 13/12/2020 23:04

Nordikas - love them and worth every penny

ToooOldForThis · 13/12/2020 23:06

I bought Homeys after asking on here and LOVE them!

Koffeekake · 13/12/2020 23:08

Aldi are selling sheepskin slippers. They have a hard sole but are fluffy and warm on the inside. They mold nicely to your feet and don't slide off. Plus, they are only £15.
