Yes another inheritance thread.
Dh was advised his uncle died in 2012. His own father died in 2018, and he was aware of the uncle but no contact. All other uncles/aunts have predeceased the uncle. DH is unaware if his uncle had any children, but he thinks very unlikely.
DH has filled in the probate papers, and we may get a modest inheritance.
BUT - I've been doing some research and it may be that the uncle had a son who would remove dh from the inheritance. So be it if true.
My issue is that the person who may be dh's cousin is in jail, will be for the next 30 years and was found guilty of several mysoginistic and racist murders.
So far I have said nothing to dh.
Should I say, Good news you have a cousin, Bad news he inherits not you and even Badder news he is a vile convicted criminal (now rich).
Can I have your thoughts on what I should do.
