I'm 14 days post hemorrhoidectomy (thrombosed and ulcerated hem) and I'm certain I have new external hemorrhoids. I saw my consultant 7 days post op and he told me it was swelling. However, since then I had terrible diarrhoea after taking laxido and there was some pushing and straining involved. Since then I have 3-5 new lumps which permanently protrude (when I saw the consultant last week the swelling only came outwards when I had a bm) they are so, so painful and I feel back to square one. The pain is just as it was pre-op. Can I really be that unlucky that I have new thrombosed hemorrhoids 2 weeks after surgery? I've noticed one has a blood blister on it and I'm petrified ive had this op for nothing ☹ Any comments will be gratefully received.
