To think it’s rude to jump in and not even say hi first thing?!

As soon as I get into work in the morning, my boss doesn’t even bother to say hello to me and instead just reels off a list of things I’m meant to do (or things I apparently haven’t done but then have to prove to here that yes I have because she hasn’t checked properly Grin).

Now of course I understand that I’m there to work and of course she’ll give me tasks, but isn’t it a bit rude to not even say hello? Aibu to think she should? Aibu and rude to make a point afterwards of saying good morning manager, how are you? Or is that just as rude?

Everyone else who comes in she says hi how are you etc too but because I’m directly under her I just get a list. I get maybe she wants to ask before she forgets but even still she doesn’t do any social niceties afterwards.

I arrive on time and am always ready to start work at my correct start time so it’s not like I’m late!

Yes rude.

As a boss myself I always make sure I say good morning how are you? To my staff.

Out of order! She should definitely acknowledge your presence in some way before she starts issuing orders, and if she acknowledges others but not you, I'd be inclined to have it out with her, and ask her directly why she doesn't say hello to you, but does to everyone else.
