The government are holding a public consultation to help inform their next steps on the campaign to end violence against women and girls.

The survey can be found here:

It closes on 15th December.

This is an important opportunity to have a say on current policy and which direction you would like to see future policy move in.

Do you agree that perpetrators of domestic violence are women and men?

Well yes I do, but when you look at the numbers there's a massive discrepancy.

I made that point specifically in the other comments section. I said explicitly if the question had been "Do you agree that perpetrators of domestic violence are women and men equally?" my response would have been Strongly Disagree and I was concerned that false equivalence risks hiding the fact that this is a male violence problem.

Given this is a survey about VAWG specifically I wasn't happy that the final question was how do I identify, not what is my biological sex.

Until this whole gender mess is sorted out, organisations really need to ask both questions. I'll even accept being asked what sex was I "assigned" at birth is it means we can continue to capture accurate stats about bio sex as well as id gender.

So can anyone advise on the correct consultation end date - on this thread 15th Dec; on the actual consultation "This consultation closes at
11:45pm on 19 February 2021".

Just wondered.

When I posted it, the consultation end date was showing as 15th December.
