Pretty sure this is going to be gcse history fodder in years to come

I'm not claiming it compares to many periods in history but the coming together of mother nature, incompetence and deceit truly have made this a special year.

I'm waiting to see who thinks you're being unreasonable. Maybe they've missed the sarcasm?!

Well, I prefer it to the alternative, but I have to say this year comes under the heading of 'interesting times, and there's not enough wine in the world'. I fear that future years might be even more so.
