Has anyone been to Westfield in the past two weeks?

Not really an AIBU (though some may say I am) but my DD and I are planning to drive into London on Saturday and go to Westfield in Shepherds Bush.

On their website they state all the social distancing measures they have in place, which is great, but I wondered if this has resulted in queues to get into shops and restaurants or even the venue itself.

Has anyone been very recently and can report back?

Having been there around Christmas time it's normally queued outside for a lot of the stores (tis my old stomping ground) .

A couple of my friends have been and said whilst it was quieter than usual there were definite queues for shops but typically around 10 mins at a time. They did go during the week though.

Thanks @Kazmerelda.

We've done most of our Christmas shopping so it's more to take in the atmosphere (it was so lovely this time last year) and sample some nice food and drink!

I'm not so bothered then about queues for shops inside, but do you think we'll have to queue outside in the cold to get into the mall, or have to queue for restaurants?

I was there during national lockdown, so probably not comparable to when all shops are open (they were open for click and collect and essential shops). Measures in place were great, however, if you’re driving in, I would question whether you would be better to do some shopping in your own locality. There were so many shoppers in central London who seemed to be from out of town at the weekend and it was so busy that we left, that would be rather frustrating if you had driven to get there.
